

SIP Trunking
Access Communications’ VoIP product line brings you the latest technology with the addition of SIP trunking. SIP trunking is designed for customers upgrading to an IP-enabled phone / PBX system or for customers who want to save money and consolidate their business' resources. SIP includes many of the same features and benefits customers have come to know and expect with Access Communications VoIP service.
A SIP trunk is primarily a concurrent call that is routed over the IP backbone VoIP technology. SIP trunks are used in conjunction with a SIP enabled IP-PBX and are thought of as replacements for traditional PRI or analog circuits. The main advantage of SIP trunks is primarily to the cost savings of SIP as compared to traditional analog or PRI services.
Additionally - with Access Communications’ SIP trunking, your company can:
- Eliminates the need for phone system hardware and firewalls at each location
- SIP trunking terminates in the IPPBXs telephone system Ethernet port, so there is no need to buy expensive ISDN or T1 cards
